Reliance Jio has partnered with Google to launch a massive promotional offer, giving eligible users 18 months of free access to the Google AI Pro plan. This plan, valued at over ₹35,000, includes access to Google’s most advanced AI, Gemini, and a massive 2TB of cloud storage.

However, the rollout is in phases, which is causing a “register problem” for many users who can’t find the offer:

Here’s a complete guide on who is eligible, how to claim it, and how to solve common issues.
What Do You Get with the Google AI Pro Plan?
This is the premium subscription tier from Google. For 18 months, you get:
- Gemini Advanced: Access to Google’s most capable AI models (like Gemini 2.5 Pro) for more complex questions, coding, and creative tasks.
- 2 TB of Cloud Storage: This storage is shared across your Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Photos.
- Gemini in Google Apps: Use Gemini directly inside Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and more to help you write, summarize, and create.
- Advanced Tools: Access to other generative AI tools for image creation (Nano Banana) and video generation (Veo 3.1).
Step-by-Step: How to Claim the Offer
The entire process is managed through the MyJio app.
- Update Your App: Go to the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and make sure your MyJio app is updated to the latest version.
- Log In: Open the app and ensure you are logged in with your eligible Jio mobile number.
- Find the Banner: On the app’s home screen, look for a prominent banner that says “Pro plan of Google Gemini FREE” or “Jio-Google Gemini offer.”
- Register or Claim: Tap the banner. You will be taken to a page with details. Click “Claim Now” or “Register interest.”
- Link Your Google Account: You will be prompted to sign in to the Google account you want the 18-month free subscription applied to. Choose your account and accept the terms.
- Confirmation: Once linked, your Google AI Pro plan should be active. You may receive a confirmation message, and some users report being told, “We will get in touch with you on the next steps in a few days,” which means you are on the list for activation.
Solving Common Registration Problems
This is the most important part. If you don’t see the offer or can’t register, it’s almost certainly for one of these reasons.
Problem 1: The offer banner is not visible in my MyJio app.
This is the most common issue and has two main causes:
- You are not in the eligible age group. The initial rollout of this offer is exclusively for Jio users aged 18 to 25. If your age on your Jio registration is outside this bracket, you will not see the offer yet.
- You are not on an eligible plan. This offer is only for users on an unlimited 5G plan (prepaid or postpaid) costing ₹349 or more. If you are on a cheaper plan or a 4G-only plan, you will not be eligible.
Solution: If you are not in the 18-25 age group, you must wait. Jio has stated the offer will “expand rapidly” to all other Jio subscribers nationwide after this initial phase. If you are not on an eligible plan, you must recharge with a qualifying plan (₹349+ Unlimited 5G) to see the offer.
Problem 2: I am eligible, but I get an error or it fails.
- You already have a Google One subscription. You may not be able to stack this free trial on top of an existing paid plan. Some users report that you may have to cancel your current Google One plan and wait for it to expire before you can claim the 18-month trial.
- You have used a free trial before. The offer may be void if your Google account has ever had a Google One or AI Pro free trial in the past.
- Your Google account is not set to India. This is an India-only offer, so your Google account’s region must be set to India.
Problem 3: I registered, but it says “Thank you for your interest.”
This is not a problem! It means your registration is successful. Activation is being rolled out in phases. Some users get instant access, while others are placed in a queue. You should receive an email or notification when your 18-month free plan is fully activated.
Final Checklist
Before you try to claim, make sure you meet all of these conditions:
- ✅ You have an active Jio SIM.
- ✅ You are on an Unlimited 5G plan of ₹349 or more.
- ✅ You are (for now) in the 18 to 25 age group.
- ✅ You have the latest version of the MyJio app.
- ✅ The Google account you’re using has not had a Google AI Pro trial before.
If you meet all these criteria and still face issues, try clearing the MyJio app’s cache or restarting your phone. Otherwise, the best solution is to wait for the offer to expand to all users, which Jio plans to do soon.
